'Resin Bound' surfacing is a resin bound aggregate surface commonly used for pedestrian and vehicular traffic. These surfaces are widely popular as they are decorative, functional, seamless as well as somewhat flexible. The open matrix allows water to drain through to the base, this helps eliminate water ponding; allowing water to drain through to planted areas, or land drains. This type of surfacing can be applied to SuDS compliant bases and sub-bases, reducing the impact of urban development on flood risk, and also allowing for water to flow into water courses.
